7TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL (LIGHTNING)

November 6, 2025

The 7th grade Lightning volleyball team (Coach Merlo) won all three sets of their first match last night. Scores were 25-17, 25-20, 25-18.

They did a great job playing as a team and exceeded expectations for their first game. 

November 11, 2025

The 7th grade Lightning volleyball team won all three sets last night in their home game against Carman-Ainsworth by scores of 25-8, 25-7 and 25-6.

Amelia Dixon served 10 consecutive points in the first set

Baylee Davis served 18 consecutive points in the third set.

November 12, 2025

The 7th grade volleyball team lost to Davison last night, 16-25, 22-25 and 21-25.

December 2, 2025

The 7th grade Lightning team won all three sets against Carman-Ainsworth last night: 25-9, 25-18, 25-11. 

The entire team played great.

Reagan Smith and Ameila Dixion both had remarkable seving with several aces.

We play at home vs. Davison tonight. 

7TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL (BOLTS)

November 10, 2025

The Lapeer Bolts (Coach Cutway) beat Carman-Ainsworth 25-12, 26-24, 25-19.

Angelina Borowicz led the team with 11 aces, Raelynn Rodgers following with five.

Down in set 2, Emmalyn Aulph went on a run to bring the Lightning back up.

Lapeer plays at Davison this Wednesday.

Last night, the Lapeer Bolts fought hard to beat Swartz Creek 25-23, 25-14 and 15-25.

The girls had a good game and made lots of good plays.

Emmalyn Aulph led the team with seven aces, Jenna McBride following close with five.

8TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL (BLUE)

November 6, 2025

Last night, the 8th grade Blue volleyball team started their season with a win against Grand Blanc West - 23-25, 25-26 and 25-7. All of the girls played a great game and contributed to the win!

The girls had amazing serves last night with Shelby Cottle leading the team with eight aces. Olivia Husted added five aces and Adela Grimes, Alivia Petz and Melody Thompson all had four aces each. Congratulations, girls!

Come out and cheer on both teams Monday at their home match at Rolland-Warner starting at 4:15pm.

November 10, 2025

Last night, the 8th grade Blue volleyball team swept Carman-Ainsworth 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-17).

The girls played a great game and their strong serving led to this win.

Shelby Cottle led the team with 10 aces, Melody Thompson and Olivia Husted had five each, Stella English added four aces. 

The girls will take the court next at Davison on Wednesday.

Last night, the girls 8th grade Blue volleyball team swept Swartz Creek Middle School 25-10, 27-25 and 25-19.

The girls came out in the first set serving strong. As a team, we had 16 aces in the first set. Leading the way on the night was Shelby Cottle with an impressive 14 aces! Olivia Husted added eight aces and Cora Street and Alivia Petz both added four aces each.

The girls did an amazing job of setting up the ball which led to two kills each by Adela Grimes and Shelby Cottle.

Keep up the great work ladies!

The 8th grade Blue volleyball team was able to knock the dust off after a week long break with a win over Carman-Ainsworth.

We started off slow in the first set down 5-11 and Alivia Petz brought the team into a commanding lead with 15 aces on the 18 points that she earned for the team!  This led to a spark in the girls that continued throughout the game.

As a team, we had 36 aces and eight kills! Melody Thompson had the second-most aces with six and led the team with five kills.

Come watch the girls take on Davison tonight at Rolland-Warner at 4:15!

We lost all three sets to Davison yesterday, 12-25, 13-25 and 9-25.

Last night, the 8th grade Blue volleyball team traveled to Grand Blanc West and played hard to earn the 2-1 win.

The girls won the first set 25-13, dropped the second set 13-25 and came back to win the third set 25-14.

The team communicated well and out in a lot of effort to earn this win.

Melody Thompson led the team at the net with four kills and two blocks. Shelby Cottle led the serving with eight aces and Cora Street set up the win in the first set by serving 10 in a row and having four aces on the night. Cora, Mallorie Smith and Alivia Petz led the defense with great serve receive and defensive play.

Come cheer on the girls at their last match on Wednesday at RW at 4:15 p.m.

December 17, 2025

Last night, the 8th grade Blue volleyball team lost a tough game to Grand Blanc East.

The team started out strong winning 25-17 in the first set, but dropped the second set 15-25.

The third set was a fight. The girls tied it up at 18-18 after being down the entire set, but GB came out strong and won 21-25.

Melody Thompson had seven kills and one block for the team. Alivia Petz added four kills and Adela Grimes and Aubrey Schneider each had three kills. Shelby Cottle led the team in aces with three. 

All of the girls had a great season and should be very proud of themselves!

8TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL (GREEN)

November 6, 2025

The Lapeer 8th grade Green volleyball team had an impressive performance last night against Grand Blanc West, winning all three sets with scores of 25–20, 25–10, and 25–9.

Jane Roberts led the team at the service line with 14 aces total, and Alexis Newberry added eight more to keep the pressure on.

Laramei Bautista stood out defensively with several strong digs, while Ava Josef powered through with multiple kills at the net.

Every player contributed to the win, showing great teamwork and energy from start to finish.

The Lapeer 8th grade Green team delivered an impressive performance last night against Carman-Ainsworth, sweeping all three sets 25–11, 25–8, and 25–8.

Audrey King dominated at the service line with 14 aces, while Alexis Newberry and Anna Dawley added multiple kills at the net.

Every player contributed to the victory, bringing strong teamwork and energy from start to finish.

The Lapeer 8th grade Green team lost a close match last night to Davison, winning the second set and showing great teamwork throughout.

Ava Josef was strong at the net as a middle hitter, earning several impressive blocks, while Alexis Newberry led the team in kills.

The girls will be away this Friday, November 14, at Grand Blanc East.

The Lapeer 8th grade Green team put on a strong performance last night, sweeping all three sets against Swartz Creek 25-14, 25-18, 15-11.

Jane Roberts led with sharp assists, and Alexis Newberry delivered several key kills at the net.

Every player contributed with great teamwork and energy. 

They play next at Carman-Ainsworth on December 2.

The Lapeer 8th grade Green team delivered an outstanding performance last night against Carman Ainsworth, sweeping all three sets 25-3, 25-21, 25-19.

The team racked up an impressive 34 aces and had Ava Josef leading the offense at the net with five kills.

Every player made a meaningful impact, showcasing strong teamwork, focus, and energy from start to finish.

The Lapeer 8th grade Green team delivered an outstanding performance last night against Davison, securing a victory in two of the three sets - 25-18, 25-12, 21-25.

Jane Roberts dominated at the service line with an impressive 12 aces, while Ella Stover and Ava Josef excelled as middle blockers.

The team showed excellent communication and had consistently high energy on the court, and every player made a meaningful contribution.

The team is back in action next Wednesday at home against Holly - come out and support!

Kayla Kurek led the team in aces and Natalie Yens had several impressive digs.

The Lapeer 8th grade Green team delivered an outstanding performance last night against Grand Blanc East, securing a victory in two of the three sets - 25-23, 26-24, 16-25.

Ava Josef led the team in both aces and kills with an impressive eight aces and eight kills.

The girls had an outstanding season with a 6-3 record!
