December 7, 2025
The Lady Lightning bowling team opened their season on Sunday at the “Kickoff” Baker Tournament in Lansing.
The girls posted a total of 1,354 across 10 qualifying games, placing them 11th out of 18 teams.
Unfortunately, only the top eight advanced to match play, leaving them just short of the cut.
December 14, 2025
The Lady Bolts hit the lanes Sunday morning in Bay City for the Baker's Dozen Tournament.
They bowled 13 qualifying games against 13 other area teams. The girls started strong with a 183 and followed it up with games of 179, 171 and 167. Each win against an opponent earned 20 bonus pins. On the day, the team won 11 of 13 matches, earning 220 bonus pins and finishing with a 13-game total of 2,155, placing them fifth in qualifying.
In match play, the girls faced a tough Flushing team and ultimately lost in the first round.
The Lady Bolts return to action Tuesday as they head to Grand Blanc Lanes to take on Powers in their first league match.
December 16, 2025
The Lapeer Lightning girls bowling team faced a strong Flint Powers squad Tuesday night at Grand Blanc Lanes.
The Lady Bolts dropped the opening two Baker games by scores of 187-126 and 150-137. Despite showing plenty of fight in the individual games, Lapeer was only able to secure eight points, as Powers went on to claim the match.
Isabellah Asaro led the Lightning with impressive games of 202 and 212. Ariel Guerrero followed with scores of 155 and 180, while Nevaeh Livingston contributed games of 162 and 152.

December 22, 2025
On December 22, the Lady Bolts took on Bay City Central at B’s Bowling Alley in Flint.
The girls got off to a hot start in the baker games, winning both by scores of 150–142 and 185–129.
They would surrender only two points in the individual games and go on to win the match 28–2.
Leading individual performances included Isabellah Asaro (202), followed by Nevaeh Livingston (170), Ariel Guerrero (149), Emma Dissmore (144), and Khloe Behler (129).
December 27, 2025
The Lady Lightning were in action at Monitor Lanes in Bay City against the Mt. Pleasant Oilers.
The girls earned another convincing victory, winning the match 28–2 to improve to 2–1 on the season.
After sweeping both baker games and surrendering just two points in the individual games for the second straight match, the Lady Lightning are clearly starting to find their stride.
Leading individual performances included Isabellah Asaro with a 221, followed by Nevaeh Livingston (185) and Ariel Guerrero (157).
January 3, 2026
The Lapeer Lightning girls bowling team hosted their home match at Gerlach’s Bowling Center on Saturday, January 3.
The girls kept the momentum rolling against Saginaw Heritage, earning another dominant victory by a score of 29–1. With the win, the Lady Lightning improved to 3–1 on the season and are currently sitting in fourth place in the SVL.
High individual scores from the match included Isabellah Asaro (203), followed by Nevaeh Livingston (156), Ariel Guerrero (150), and Khloe Behler (136).
January 9, 2026
The Lady Bolts traveled to Mt. Pleasant to take on a very talented Davison Cardinals team Friday night.
The Lightning would win the first baker 165-145 and drop the second baker 182-153 to find themselves down 6-4 going into the team games.
The Lady Lightning would take three individual points and totals in the first game to take an 11-8 lead going into game 2. They would again secure three individual points and totals in game 2 to win the match 20-10.
Hands down, this was the girls biggest win of the season and improved their record to 4-1.

January 10, 2026
The girls took on a short-handed Saginaw United squad Saturday afternoon at Monitor Lanes in Bay City.
The Lady Bolts would not give up any points on the day, winning the match 30-0.
The girls are on a hot streak, winning five matches in a row after losing the first match of the season. The ladies also find themselves in a tie for first place with three other teams in the SVL.

January 13, 2026
It was a hard-fought battle between the Lady Bolts and Warriors from Bay City Western Tuesday night at Grand Blanc Lanes.
The Lightning would strike first, winning the first baker game 141-135, but the second baker game would go to the Warriors 149-139. Heading into the team games, our girls were down 6-4.
The ladies were on fire in game 1 and would take three individual points and totals 888-745 to jump out to an 11-8 lead. Game 2 would be reversed and the Warriors would take three points and totals 821 -797.
Our Lightning would secure two points for both games combined by a score of 1685-1566, so points-wise, both teams were tied 15-15.
Time for a one-game baker roll-off to determine a winner!
With momentum shifting back and forth throughout the match, the Lightning would put together a team effort. In the ninth frame, Nevaeh Livingston would deliver a much-needed strike. With the match on the line and two strikes needed to win the roll-off, Isabellah Asaro would deliver a clutch performance and throw three strikes in the tenth frame to win 183-166.

The ladies are still tied for first place in the SVL with a record of 6-1 and are back at it Thursday at Alert Lanes to take on Midland Dow.
January 15, 2026
The ladies took on Midland Dow at Alert Lanes in Essexville.
After a split for the baker games and Lapeer taking the two-game total 267-207, the Lightning would have a 6-4 lead going into the team games.
The Lady Bolts would only surrender two points for both team games to win the match by a total of 24-6.

January 18, 2026
The Lapeer Lightning girls bowling team competed Sunday morning in the Flint Metro Open Invitational Championships, facing a strong field of 16 teams with only the top eight advancing to match play.
In qualifying, the Lightning rolled two team games, posting scores of 775 and 788 for a two-game total of 1,563. They followed with four baker games of 134, 166, 152, and 118, bringing their overall qualifying total to 2,133 and earning a seventh-place finish to advance.
During round-robin play, the Lightning bowled seven baker games against the remaining teams, with each win worth 20 bonus pins. The girls battled throughout the round but earned bonus pins in just one game, ending their tournament run.
Overall, it was a strong showing for the Lady Bolts, making the cut and competing hard throughout the day.
Individually, Isabellah Asaro led the way with a 388 series, rolling games of 200 and 188 to earn All-Tournament Team honors. Nevaeh Livingston added games of 156 and 179, while Ariel Guerrero contributed scores of 149 and 169. Emma Dissmore chipped in a 152, and Khloe Behler recorded a 147.

January 24, 2026
The Lapeer Lightning faced Grand Blanc in a battle for first place Saturday afternoon at Roll-A-Way Lanes in Davison.
The Lightning took the opening baker game 166–136 but dropped the second 138–144, giving them a narrow 6–4 lead heading into the individual games.
The individual games swung the momentum to Grand Blanc, as they posted team totals of 804–785 and 825–742. The Lightning managed just four points in the individual games and ultimately fell 20–10 in the match.

January 25, 2026
The Lapeer Lightning girls bowling team competed in the Swartz Creek Dragons Singles Tournament on Sunday at Grand Blanc Lanes.
The tournament featured a field of 83 bowlers, with the top 32 advancing to match play.
Isabellah Asaro led the Lightning, posting a four-game series of 764 with a high game of 248 to earn All-Tournament Team honors and qualified 4th overall. Nevaeh Livingston also advanced, qualifying 31st with a 619 series and a high game of 184. Khloe Behler finished 42nd, Emma Dissmore 52nd, Ariel Guerrero 62nd, and Caitie May 78th.
During match play, bowlers competed in groups of four, with the top two scores advancing.
Livingston advanced to the second round before being eliminated.
Asaro reached the finals, where she was narrowly defeated by Meadow Ng of Grand Blanc, 192–188, to finish as tournament runner-up.



January 31, 2026
The Lapeer girls bowling team took on Carman-Ainsworth Saturday afternoon at Northern Lanes in Sanford.
The Lady Bolts got off to a slow start, dropping the first baker game, but bounced back to win the second baker and the baker totals to take a 6–4 lead after the baker portion.
In the individual games, the Lightning took control, surrendering just three points and cruising to a 23–7 match victory.
The win was highlighted by a historic performance from Isabellah Asaro, who rolled a massive 543 two-game series with games of 299 and 244.
Other top scores from the match included Nevaeh Livingston with a 231, Khloe Behler with a 149, and Ariel Guerrero with a 141.
February 1, 2026
The Lady Lightning competed Sunday in the Rusty Thomas Scholarship Tournament at Monitor Lanes, facing a strong field of more than 65 bowlers.
The event featured six games of qualifying, with only the top 18 advancing to the elimination rounds.
Five Lightning bowlers took part, with Ariel Guerrero and Isabellah Asaro both earning spots in the cut. Guerrero picked up a first-round elimination win, 157–130, before falling in the second round, 159–226. Her top-ten finish earned her a $50 scholarship and marked the first time she has made the cut in a singles tournament.
Asaro continued her strong run by winning both elimination matches, 179–115 and 191–171, to advance to the stepladder finals. Bowling as the No. 4 seed, she was edged out in her stepladder match, 217- 199. Asaro earned a $150 scholarship and reached the stepladder finals for the third consecutive year at the Rusty Thomas tournament.
February 2, 2026
The Lady Bolts took on Midland Monday night at Crooked Creek Lanes.
The girls once again got off to a slow start, dropping the first baker game before bouncing back to win the second. After the baker games, the Lightning trailed 6–4.
Lapeer turned things around in the individual games, winning 15 points to secure a 19–11 victory.
With the win, the Lightning improve to 9–2 on the season.

February 7, 2026
The Lightning faced the Davison Cardinals in their final regular season match with third place on the line.
The Lady Bolts came out strong, jumping to a 10–0 lead after the baker games by winning both baker contests and total pins. The Lightning posted games of 172–161 and 201–163 to take early control of the match.
In the individual games, the Lightning continued their momentum, earning four points in the first game and seven more in the second. They also claimed the total pins bonus by a score of 1,719–1,688, securing the overall victory.

February 8, 2026
The Lapeer Lightning girls bowling team competed in the Division 1 Tune-Up event Sunday at Grand Blanc Lanes.
The format consisted of two team games and four baker games, with the top four teams advancing. The Lightning rolled team games of 830 and 863, followed by baker games of 170, 180, 128, and 142. Their total qualifying score of 2,313 placed them sixth out of 10 teams, just missing the cut.
