7TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL - GREEN
February 18, 2026
The 7th grade green team put up a hard-fought battle but was unable to get the best of Grand Blanc West, falling 64-14.
Lapeer’s top scorers were Brennan Stanton with four, Gavin Williams with three and Robert Hilts with two.
March 4, 2026
The 7th grade team lost a hard-fought game against Holly, 46-37.
Leading scorers were Amario Diaz with 20, Brennan Stanton with eight, and Gavin Williams with four.
Last game of the season is Monday against Flushing.
8TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL - BLUE
February 18, 2026
The 8th grade boys basketball blue team hosted Davison on Wednesday evening.
The game stayed close in the first half with a lot of back-and-forth action, but the Lightning foul trouble helped push Davison through with the win.
Scoring for the lightning were Creek Johnson with 11 points, Tommy Hayes with five points, and Cameron Pritchard with one point.
Next game is tonight at Carman-Ainsworth.
February 19, 2026
The 8th grade boys basketball blue team faced up against Carman-Ainsworth on Thursday evening.
Despite being short several players, the boys matched up and battled hard in the first half but ended up losing the game.
Scoring for the lightning were Ben Fleming with 12 points, Tommy Hayes with six points, Cameron Pritchard with four points, and Creek Johnson with two points.
The next game is this Monday at home vs. Lake Fenton.
February 25, 2026
The 8th grade boys basketball blue team hosted Grand Blanc East on Wednesday evening.
The boys were a step slower this week, losing the game.
Scoring for Lapeer were Alex LeClaire with 14, Ben Fleming with five, Caleb Lewinski with three, Tommy Hayes with three, Nathan Halley with two and Bentley Russell with one.
Next game up is next Monday at Linden.
March 2, 2026
The 8th grade boys basketball blue team played at Linden Monday night.
The team is all recovered now and came together nice with a road win.
Scoring for the Lightning were Ben Fleming and Tommy Hayes each with eight, and leading the team was Alex LeClaire with 14, who also had a very impressive near full court buzzer beater. Creek Johnson had two, Caleb Lewinski with one, Bentley Russell with five and Cameron Pritchard with two.
Nice job, guys!
Next game up is tomorrow at home vs Flushing.

The 8th grade boys blue team faced up against Flushing at home last night and did a very nice job keeping the game close most of the game, despite the loss.
Scoring for the Lightning were Creek Johnson with 11, Ben Fleming and Alex LeClaire with nine and Cameron Pritchard with four.
Last home game is this Monday vs Lake Fenton.

The 8th grade boys basketball blue team played their final game of the season at home vs. Lake Fenton.
After a very sluggish three-point first half, the boys hustled back and narrowed the large lead down to five but couldn't maintain the momentum to close the game out and lost.
Scoring for the Lightning were Caleb Lewinski with one, Bentley Russell with five, Cameron Pritchard with six, Ben Fleming with 11, and Tommy Hayes had 12.

The 8th grade green team lost tonight, 66-19.
Henry Franckowiack led the lightning with eight points, Gracin Cooper battled in the paint for five points, while Evan Carroll, Noah Davis, and Arthur Yang each added two points.
February 25, 2026
The 8th grade green team scrimmaged Chatfield last night and lost 57-20.
Henry Franckowiack led Lapeer with 11 points, Evan Carroll had five, and Gracin Cooper added four.
March 2, 2026
The 8th grade green team lost last night against Flushing.
Arthur Yang led Lapeer with four points, followed by Logan Zahringer with three, Evan Carroll, Henry Franckowiack and Noah Davis each added two, while Ben Hall and Kayden Archie each added one point each.
March 4, 2026
The 8th grade green team lost to a tough Holly team last night.
Henry Franckowiack led the Lightning with six points, Evan Carrol had five, Ben Hall, Evan Groomes, and Gracin Cooper each added two points, while Kayden Archie and Logan Zahringer each hit a free throw for one point each.
March 9, 2026
The 8th grade green team lost their last game yesterday.
Evan Carroll led the team with nine points followed by Henry Franckowiack's eight points, with Arthur Yang adding two.
"It was a pleasure and honor to coach you boys this season," said coach Chris Hall. "Coach Carroll and I couldn't be more proud of the hard work and dedication you guys put in this season. "
