Spring Sports signups are currently available in the RW & Zemmer Main Offices. If you are interested in trying out for 7th/8th Baseball/Softball or running MS Track, please get signed up. All student athletes must complete the athletic clearance process prior to trying out/practicing.
In order to participate in athletics all student athletes need a physical (dated on or after April 15th, 2025) completed on a MHSAA Physical Form, a signed Athletic Code of Conduct acknowledgement, and a completed emergency medical form. All of these forms are available in the RW/Zemmer Main Offices and online at https://www.lapeerschools.org/o/lightningathletics
ALL DISTRICT SPORTS ARE NOW USING CASHLESS PAYMENT FOR ADMISSION THROUGH GO FAN. WE WILL BE CHARGING ADMISSION FOR HOME MS TRACK MEETS FOR THE 2026 SEASON.
Our Spring Sports Parent Meeting/Meet the Coach Night will take place on Wednesday, March 18th at 6:00 p.m. in the Zemmer Cafeteria. There will be a brief informational meeting for all parents/student athletes followed by individual meetings with the coaches of your respective sport. Athletic Clearance will not be available at the meeting and will need to be completed in the main office prior to the start of Spring Sports practices.
7th/8th Baseball and 8th Softball tryouts will be Monday, March 23rd through Wednesday, March 25th. 7th Softball tryouts will be Tuesday, March 24th through Thursday, March 26th. If weather does not permit, then baseball and softball tryouts will be held indoors in the RW (7th) and Zemmer (8th) gyms, respectively.
MS Track practice will begin on Monday, April 6th.
