The Lightning boys soccer team left the pitch with unfinished business as their bout with Saginaw Heritage ended early due to inclement weather.

With just over half the game played, the contest ended early with the Hawks defeating the Lightning 1-0.

Lapeer made the long trip back after a hard-earned come-from-behind victory against Elkton Pigeon Bayport.

After an early penalty kick goal for the Lakers, Lapeer’s first score came from junior Richie Fuller off a corner from junior Sebastian Gooch.

Then after going down 2-1 in the second half, Lapeer equalized on another Fuller goal, this time off a cross from junior Tanner Floyed.

After more battling Floyed added a goal on a breakaway after a great through pass from teammate and junior Ethan Redmond.

The Lapeer Lightning varsity soccer team suffered a tough loss to Davison last night.

Down 1-0 at half, the Lightning conceded four in the second half to fall 5-0 to the Cardinals.

The Lightning boys soccer team hosted Grand Blanc Wednesday night.

Grand Blanc had a strong appearance going up 5-0, but Lapeer showed grit, scoring two goals late to make the final tally 5-2.

Goals were scored by junior Tanner Floyed and senior Justin Tebben, assisted by juniors Richie Fuller and Sebastian Gooch.
