Lapeer Tune-Up

Davison carded a 287 to win the annual Lapeer Tune-Up at Metamora Country Club on Friday. 

The tournament featured a competitive field of Saginaw Valley’s top programs, with Midland Dow finishing second (301) and Saginaw Heritage taking third (302).

Lapeer posted a team total of 385, led by Jesse Aragones’ 88. 

Other contributors for the Lightning included Ever Miller (98), Gavin Miles (99), and Carter Josef (100).

SVL Jamboree #1

Grand Blanc shot a team-best 302 to win the first SVL Jamboree of the season at Metamora Country Club on Wednesday.

In a field featuring the entire Saginaw Valley Conference, Midland took second (305) and Midland Dow took third (308).

Lapeer finished with a 416, paced by Evan DeBolt’s 92. Jesse Aragones added a 103, Jonathan McLaren shot 108, and Gavin Miles carded a 113 for the Lightning.

42nd Evans Gill Memorial Tournament

Warren DeLaSalle shot a 315 to win the 42nd Evans Gill Memorial Tournament at Timberwood Golf Club on Friday. 

Lapeer finished with a 382, paced by Evan DeBolt’s 92.  Carter Josef added a 93, Gavin Miles shot 97, and Jonathan McLaren carded a 100 for the Lightning.

Midland Open

Saginaw Heritage shot 316 to win the Midland Open at Currie Park Golf Course on Monday. 

Lapeer finished with a 389, with Evan DeBolt carding an 88.  Ever Miller added a 95, Gavin Miles shot 103, and Jonathan McLaren shot 103 for the Lightning.

SVL Jamboree #2

Davison shot a team-best 303 to win the second SVL Jamboree of the season at Flint Golf Club on Wednesday.

In a field featuring the entire Saginaw Valley Conference, Grand Blanc took second (305), and Bay City Western took third (314).

Lapeer finished with a 374, paced by Evan DeBolt’s 85. Jesse Arogones added a 95, Ever Miller shot 97,  and Jonathan McLaren carded a 97 for the Lightning.

Charger Invitational

Lake Orion shot a team-best 295 to win the Charger Invitational at Flint Golf Club on Monday. 

Lapeer was led by Evan DeBolt’s 89, Jon McLaren carded a 102, and Carter Josef shot a 105.

SVL Jamboree #3

The Lapeer High School Golf varsity golf team competed at PohlCat Golf Course against a talented field at the third Saginaw Valley Jamboree. 

Davison High School claimed the tournament championship with a team score of 311 (+23), edging Midland H.H. Dow, which finished second at 312 (+24). Flint Powers Catholic High School Golf placed third with a score of 314 (+26).

Lapeer battled through difficult conditions and a challenging course setup while continuing to gain valuable experience against strong competition.

Senior Evan Debolt led the Lightning with a team-best round of 95 (+23). Senior Ever Miller followed with a 106 (+34), while junior Gavin Miles carded a 107 (+35). Senior Jonathan McLaren and freshman Levi Coulter each finished with rounds of 109 (+37), and junior Carter Josef added a 116 (+44).

SVL Jamboree #4

The Lapeer High School Golf varsity golf team competed in the Saginaw Valley League Jamboree #4 at Currie Golf Course against a strong field of conference opponents.

Davison High School captured the tournament title with a team score of 300 (+12), followed by Grand Blanc High at 305 (+17). Bay City Western High School finished third with a 315 (+27).

Lapeer finished the day with a team score of 388 while battling difficult course conditions and tough conference competition.

Senior Jesse Aragones led the Lightning with a team-best 93 (+21). Jonathan McLaren followed closely with a 95 (+23), while Caden Duncan contributed a 99 (+27). Ever Miller completed the team scoring with a 101 (+29).

Additional rounds included Evan Debolt with a 103 and junior Carter Josef with a 120.
