Thank you for choosing Lapeer Community Schools! You can complete the enrollment process at any school building or at the Administration & Services Center located at 250 Second Street. To enroll your child into Early Fives or Kindergarten, your child must be 5 years old by September 1. Students who turn 5 years old between September 2 and December 1 may enroll but must have a signed waiver on file. Please follow these steps to complete the enrollment process:

All Grade Levels - May 1, 2024 - September 1, 2024
Elementary Second Term - November 6, 2024 – November 17, 2024
Secondary Second Term - January 2, 2025 – January 12, 2025
Required Documentation for Enrollment:
- Original/certified or copy of birth certificate
- Up-to-Date Immunization Record (Available at the Health Department)
- Picture Identification
- Two proofs of residency with your name and current address:
- Picture Identification (Picture identification is required and can also be considered as one proof ONLY if the current address is displayed on the front or back of the ID.
- Utility bill, bank statement, or check stub (Must be dated within 2 months) Lease or purchase agreement or car registration (Must be currently active)
***If you and/or your child(ren) are living with a relative, a signed and notarized residency affidavit by you (the parent/guardian) and the homeowner is required. Staff at the Administration & Services Center can notarize at no charge.

- Special Education Documentation – Most Recent IEP & MET or 504 Plan
