ACT, Inc. is an independent, nonprofit organization providing educational services to students and their parents, high schools and colleges, and to professional associations and government agencies. Founded in 1959, ACT is best known for its college admissions testing program. They have since developed a broad range of programs and services in the areas of college admissions and advising, career and educational planning, student aid, continuing education, and professional certification and licensure.
Adventures in Education Gone through the agony of the college financial aid process, or will be in the future?  You will find this site extremely useful. Sponsored by the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation, Adventures in Education contains lots of information on how to fund an education.  This includes "Paying for School: A Guided Tour"; advice on loan management; information on scholarships, grants, fellowships and loans; and many links to sources found elsewhere on the web. You can download deferment forms in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format, and if TGSLC is your loan guarantor, you can bring up a summary of your student loans.
