Library Hours: Monday -
Friday 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Students may visit the
Library anytime during the school day with a pass from a
teacher or other appropriate staff member. Students do
not need a pass before or after school. Students may
visit during their lunch period by getting a pass from
the lunchroom supervisor.
The Library has a
coin-operated black ink photocopier for student use.
Copies are 10 cents per page. The copier neither
enlarges nor reduces.
Our library has automated
circulation with the Gateway Library Management System.
The student picture ID cards that accompany school
pictures include a bar code that enables them to be used
as a library card. The validated student picture ID is
also used for permission to access the Internet at
school.
Students may check out any
circulating materials owned by the library, which
includes books, magazines, videos, and some computer
software. Materials designated "Reference" or "Prof.
Shelf" stay in-house. Students may
check out materials for a 3 week period. Students are denied checkout privileges
when they have overdue materials. There is a charge for
damaged, missing, or lost items. Missing or lost
materials are to be paid for at the current average
replacement cost.
The Internet is accessible
from all of the networked stations in the Computer Labs,
the "technology rich" classrooms, and in the Library.
Student and staff access to the vast resources of the
Internet is restricted only by the Lapeer Community
Schools Acceptable Use Policy, which can be found in the
Student Handbook. |
